February 15, 2021 by Tim Griffin for Governor

Says, Griffin’s ‘prosecutorial and military experience will be a tremendous asset to the State of Arkansas’

LITTLE ROCK – Lt. Governor Tim Griffin announced today the endorsement of former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. In making the endorsement, Attorney General Bondi issued the following statement:

“As a former prosecutor and attorney general, I know Tim’s prosecutorial and military experience will be a tremendous asset to the State of Arkansas. I wholeheartedly endorse Tim Griffin for attorney general.”

About Lt. Governor Tim Griffin

Tim Griffin grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas, a fifth-generation Arkansan and the youngest son of a minister and teacher. He was first elected the lieutenant governor of Arkansas on November 4, 2014 and is currently serving his second four-year term. He is focused on growing jobs through aggressively pursuing economic development, more parental choice in education and boldly reforming state government.

From 2011-2015, Griffin served as the 24th representative of Arkansas’s Second Congressional District. For the 113th Congress, he was a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means while also serving as a Deputy Whip for the Majority. In the 112th Congress, he served as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the House Committee on Ethics, and the House Committee on the Judiciary. In Congress, he advocated for bold tax reform and entitlement reform to grow jobs and reduce the national debt.

During the Bush Administration, in 2006-2007, Griffin served as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas and previously as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Political Affairs for President George W. Bush at the White House.

Griffin has served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, for over 24 years and currently holds the rank of colonel. He was mobilized to active duty in 2005 as an Army prosecutor at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and served with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Mosul, Iraq, for which he was awarded the Combat Action Badge. He is currently serving as the Commander of the 134th Legal Operations Detachment (LOD) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In July 2018, Lieutenant Governor Griffin, in his capacity as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, received his master’s degree in strategic studies as a Distinguished Graduate from the United States Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.

He graduated from Magnolia High School, Hendrix College, Tulane Law School, and attended graduate school at Oxford University in England.

He currently serves on the boards of Our House shelter for the working homeless and Pathway to Freedom, a faith-based prison ministry, and previously served on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas and the Florence Crittenton Home. His wife Elizabeth is from Camden, and they live in Little Rock with their three children, Mary Katherine, John, and Charlotte Anne. They are members of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Throughout the campaign, Joe Biden refused to say whether or not he would pack the Supreme Court. From this move, it's clear he's trying to appease the far left in his party. The vast majority of Americans do not support changing the number of justices.

Securing our border has important implications for our national security. DHS needs to provide accurate statistics on known & suspected terrorists apprehended at our borders & ports of entry. This is another reason why we must uphold the Rule of Law.  #arpx

You could have just said science was hard for you and saved yourself all that typing🙄🙄🙄

How can in-home prayer gatherings be a fundamental right when homes aren't a fundamental right?

Sad indeed. Thank goodness we have ACB.

Four justices who have no respect for the Constitution. That's a dangerous situation. And when the democrats pack the court with additional anti-constitutionalists, our last peaceful means of recourse will be gone.

And the democrats are now trying to increase the size of the court until they can stack it with judges of their ideological bent

There is no law that is going to stop us from praying or gathering in the name of the Lord.

This was already a supreme court ruling over 100 years ago. It should have never even been sent up.

It is shocking that it was 5-4 and not 9-0.

5-4? 😳

Stfu Tim

Lower taxes will help curb all types of issues.

I appreciate the job you're doing Lt Governor Tim Griffin.

no

Hard working Arkansans are doing just fine! A more pressing issue would be for you to curb Arkansas gun violence, or you supporting the Arkansas Hate Crime Bill, or you doing more for women's equal rights, or doing more for the poor, and low income families, and you doing something stop state legislators from enacting voting laws that suppress Black voters! I mean, if you're really serious about wanting to do something!

Yes!

How much health insurance and college would half a billion dollars pay for? I mean, we paid the money, why not use it to lift up everyone?

Try fixing the roads in arkansas.

Or fix our crumbling infrastructure? Fix our school? Or do you only want to give the Waltons another tax break?

Don't forget to send the usual raises to all the beautiful (non classified) people over at UALR. I mean I finally had enough of no raise after 8 years 10 months to know I did not matter...
